Lined Haori:
Haori are traditional Japanese silk jackets. They are worn on top of a full length kimono. They do not cross over at the front, but hang open to reveal the obi beneath. Wonderfully adaptive to western wear, they add elegance and style to any outfit – from cocktail frocks to jeans – and are easy to slip on and off.
Unlined Haori:
Unlined haori are traditional silk jackets worn in the Japanese hotter months, on top of an unlined silk kimono. They are usually quite understated, with a see-through weave that shimmers like water with movement. Images of summer plants, flowers or dragonflies are often subtly woven in the silk.
